Kathode was a band Andrew was in from 1995 (?)-1997. Andrew played drums and did vocals. Members of kathode later went on to form the band .NEMA.

The demo tape was made to basicly get signed to a label. 3 songs went unreleased, and the other 2 were on the 7". It had been said that Andrew, for some reason, only sent this tape to Japanese labels.

Well, because of this, Kathode did a 7" on Denied a Custom records, titled "We Are Anti Nazi, Anti National War". Andrew is credited as Glaucomanie, and this 7" has been called "his baby". Andrew did all of the art for it, everything. He also wrote the lyrics to the first track, "Fools Die". This 7" is still findable if you know where to look.

Kathode then did a split with the japanese band Voidd. Kathode's track is called "Unearthed". Andrew wrote the lyrics, and is just credited as "Andrew" on the release.

About Kathode's track from the "Food Not Bombs" comp (from http://www.dontstopthenoise.com):
Kathode's page in the booklet has song lyrics, a list of band members-- Shawn, Mike, Jeff, Eric, Andrew--, and a notation that Kathode is no more, and some members are now in the band .nema. But, most intriguingly, the Kathode page is decorated with a full-size photo of H.P. Lovecraft." Both Jeff and Eric of Kathode admit to being huge Lovecraft fans, hence the photo, but neither knew if Andrew was a fan.
Turns out Andrew is a Lovecraft fan, he was even going to name an unreleased album "Necronomicon", the title of a Lovecraft novel.
